Arcade racers are back and they're perfect for phones

Arcade racing feels tailor-made for mobile. Short tracks, instant restarts, physics loose enough to be forgiving — it's the ideal quick-session genre. Neon Drift Circuit reminded me how much fun this can be.

The whole loop is drift, build boost, chain corners, repeat. It's not trying to simulate anything, and that honesty is refreshing. You get in, you race, you get out feeling slightly more alive.

Controls matter enormously here. Tilt steering sounds fun but often feels imprecise, so I'd always recommend trying the touch option first. Neon Drift Circuit's touch steering was tight enough that I never went back to tilt.

Pair it with a good soundtrack and you've got the perfect commute companion. Just maybe don't play it standing up on a moving bus.
