About
HelixPin Play started as a group chat between friends who kept swapping game recommendations. At some point we figured we should just write it all down properly, so here we are — a small independent editorial team that plays mobile games and shares real impressions.
We don't chase trending titles for the sake of clicks. A game lands in our catalogue when at least two of us have spent a proper amount of hours with it, ideally through the early grind and into the mid-game where things either open up or fall apart.
Our focus leans toward RPGs, adventures and anything with a decent progression loop, but we happily wander into strategy, racing and simulation when something catches our eye. Genre variety keeps us honest about what makes a game good.
Recently we sat down with Big Bass Drop and a handful of other titles, and the notes below are the result. Everything you read here is written by people who actually finished the tutorial and kept going.
Lukas Brenner — Lukas has been reviewing mobile games for the better part of a decade and still gets genuinely annoyed by bad inventory menus. He handles most of the RPG and adventure coverage.
